Coverage of the Middletown City Council Business Meeting on Tuesday, February 7; Tonight – Friday, February 3 – on Stage and Screen: Mystery Classics; Next Week – Friday, January 27 – on Stage and Screen: Blacks on the Silver Screen
Friday,
February 3 – We're back and up and running after the January 23 water
main break in our building! As of today, we're still on generator power
and there's lots of work still to be done, but we're ready to bring you
the final two home games of this Middie basketball season and more!
On
January 22, 2012, the Middletown High School Athletic Hall of Fame
Induction Ceremony was held at Miami University Middletown. We've had many calls about this one. The ceremony will be
cablecast on Thursday, February 9 at 8 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. and on
Friday, February 10 at 4 p.m. It will also be available on our video on demand site Thursday evening at 8 p.m.
Live coverage of this week's Middletown City Council business meeting will be
cablecast at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7. The meeting will also air at 11:30
p.m. on Tuesday and at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, and at 9 a.m. on Thursday
and Friday, February 9 and 10. It will also be available on our video on demand site
on Wednesday, February 8.
The Middletown Middies take on the Sycamore Aviators tonight,
Friday, February 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Wade E. Miller Gym. Because our gear
is still recovering from the water main break, this will be a one-person
shoot and will need basic editing, so it won't be airing until Monday,
February 6 at 7 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. It will also be available on our video on demand site
on early next week. Enjoy!
The Middies will face the Princeton Vikings on Tuesday, February 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the last home game of the regular season. We'll be airing that game on Wednesday, February 8 at 7 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. and on Thursday, February 9 at 3 p.m. It will also be available on our video on demand site later next week.
Tonight – February 3 – at 8 p.m. on Stage and Screen, we'll bring you 6 episodes from the Bulldog Drummond series, stories
about a British World War I veteran who, tired of the humdrum civilian
life, becomes a private eye and gets more excitement than he
bargained for. Two more Hollywood mysteries round out the evening. For
titles and
times, see below. Enjoy!
Next Friday – February 10 – at 8 p.m. on Stage and Screen, please join us for Blacks on the Silver Screen. Few
people realize that in the pre-civil-rights era, Black moviegoers had
theaters where they could see Black actors in leading roles. True,
these were not high budget flicks, but real talent can shine through
even when the budget is minuscule. Some of the stars in next week's six
films include Lena Horne, Louis Jordan and Nat King Cole. We hope
you'll enjoy this special Black History Month presentation.
That's it for now – we'll be back next
week with more news.

For the Record -- Time Warner Cable's Payment Center Address and
Telephone Number Time
Warner Cable moved their payment center a long time ago to the northwest corner
of State Route 122 and Dixie Highway - in the same strip mall as
Schlotzsky's Deli. Folks are still coming to the TVM Building looking for Time
Warner, and we're still getting lots of phone calls regarding cable service,
especially when bad weather breaks out. Just in case you need it, here's Time
Warner Cable's number: 424-2408.
