May 8, 2008: T. Duane Gordon (l) and Ty Thomas (r) on the set of TVM Cafe.Friday, May 9   You can't say that there's nothing to do in downtown Middletown this weekend! Beginning today and continuing through Sunday, May 11, Hook Field will host the RV Formation Flying Clinic (best viewing times). You can watch the planes from Smith Park or the courtyard at Hook Field, and there's no admission charge.
On Sunday, May 11, the 22nd Annual Shriners Mother's Day Charity Car Show returns to Smith Park with its wonderful collection of classic cars, hot rods, motorcycles and just-plain-fun-mobiles. There's a very small admission charge, and all proceeds benefit the Shriners' hospitals for children and burn victims.
May 6th Middletown City Council Business Meeting and Oddball Programming Times   The May 6th meeting airs on Tuesday, May 13 and Tuesday, May 20 at 7 p.m. and 12:02 a.m.(agenda). It runs for five hours, one minute and twenty-three seconds.  You're going to notice some strange-looking program start times for Wednesday evening programming on May 14 and May 21. The cablecast of the meeting will begin at 3 p.m. on both Wednesdays and run until approximately 8:02 p.m. You can also watch the meeting on the web (Part One; Part Two; Part Three). Army Newswatch, normally seen at 7 p.m., and Today's Air Force, normally airing at 7:30 p.m., will not be seen on these two Wednesdays because of the length of the City Council meeting.
Middie football fans will want to watch this week's Voices of Color (Saturday, May 10 at 11 a.m. and Sunday, May 11 at 11 a.m. and 9:30 p.m.). Moderator Kevin Aldridge, City Editor of the Middletown Journal, Jim Ewers, Associate Dean of Students at Miami University Middletown, and Reverend Kevin Aldridge (yes, the two Kevins are cousins) will discuss Jason Krause, the new Middletown High School football coach. The conversation promises to be a spirited one and we think you'll enjoy it!
The 2008 Pigskin Roundball Spectacular,  taped on May 7 at the Manchester Inn and featuring guest speakers Paul Hornung and Jay Bilas, will be cablecast on Thursday, May 15 at 8 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. and on Thursday, May 16 at 4 p.m. Enjoy!
T. Duane Gordon on this week's TVM Café  This week's TVM Café features T. Duane Gordon, executive director of the Middletown Community Foundation, which provides grants to many area non-profit organizations to help fund projects and programs, recognizes outstanding area high school seniors with scholarships, and recognizes outstanding area teachers with Crystal Apple awards just to name a few of its activities. You can see TVM Café on Thursday, May 15 at 7 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. and on Friday, May 16 at 3 p.m.
That's it for now we'll be back next week with more news. Have a good week!

For the Record -- Time Warner Cable's Payment Center Address and Telephone Number    Time Warner Cable moved their payment center a long time ago to the northwest corner of  State Route 122 and Dixie Highway - in the same strip mall as Schlotzsky's Deli. Folks are still coming to the TVM Building looking for Time Warner, and we're still getting lots of phone calls regarding cable service, especially when bad weather breaks out. Just in case you need it, here's Time Warner Cable's number: 424-2408.
